In August 2012, SC4CCM participated in the Malawi Health Information Technology Innovation Fair. The fair was the first of its kind, organized by Baobab Health Trust in collaboration with the Central Monitoring and Evaluation Division (CMED) of Malawi. The objectives of the Innovation Fair were to increase awareness of the information and communication technologies in health sector that are currently available and under development in Malawi and sub Saharan Africa. The fair created a platform for sharing best practices among players in Malawi and Mozambique and garnered political, policy and financial support in promoting the use of information and communication technologies in health service delivery.
The guest of honor for the function was the Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Charles Mwansambo. Each implementing partner was given a stand to showcase their work in mhealth innovations.
